“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

Dropt Out began at the end of the 2002 show season with two enthusiastic guys that got together with friends to talk about their futures in the custom automobile industry. By the end of the year, each guy realized exactly how much each person had in common with one another and how everyone wanted to take a gigantic leap forward in the custom automobile world. One guy came up with an idea that many would like, by dropping out of the former club, so they could help create the club now known as "Dropt Out". Once this bond was created, the club took a step forward creating a website that "all" custom enthusists could go to so they could get to know these members better, view the latest show coverage, slobber over the models and most importantly be a part of the experience.

Dropt Out held there first show Dropt n Destroyed on May 2nd 2004. On that day 75 vehicles were in attendance along with the pouring rain. Each show after that the vehicle count has gone up by 40 vehicles. The club has supported local organizations with there show such as the Akron Childrens Hospital, Quaker Steak n Lube, Lakemore United Methodist Church, Wing Warehouse, The City of Green, Summit County Fairgrounds and the Akron/Canton Food Banks. Dropt Out has also organized local cruise ins and was asked to help for the filming of an ABC television show "Wife Swap" in July 2009.

For the past few years Dropt Out has been recognized in many online and published magazines. The club drives more than 4 hours to an event that is in state to show a vehicle or just to go support the show. The nine members we have had traveled to states such as Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, W. Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Florida and Nevada.
